Job Summary
Owning complex pricing work from problem definition through implementation, the full-time Lead Actuary I will develop tools and frameworks for auto pricing and product updates while collaborating cross-functionally and engaging with executive leadership in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and support end-to-end rate filings, including actuarial exhibits and regulatory responses
- Manage complex actuarial pricing projects, including rate level indications and pricing analyses to support growth and profitability
- Identify opportunities to improve the filing process and pricing workflow through automation and effective use of data and technology
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 3 years in actuarial pricing or ratemaking
- Experience with personal lines property and casualty insurance, preferably auto insurance
- Proficiency in developing or reviewing rate level indications and supporting regulatory filings
- Experience with SQL, R, Python, or similar analytical tools
- Successful completion of at least five actuarial exams
