Lead AI Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the development of backend and Agent systems for LLM-powered products, the full-time Lead AI Engineer will design and maintain multi-turn conversation systems, evaluate and improve production reliability, and shape product and technical decisions in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain AI backend and Agent workflows, including context management and knowledge retrieval
- Drive evaluation and continuous improvement by defining success criteria and measuring the impact of changes
- Diagnose problems across the stack and ensure production reliability through effective issue management
Required qualifications
- Production LLM/Agent experience at scale with features used by 10,000+ active users
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals, including APIs and incident troubleshooting
- Experience in building evaluation sets, regression suites, and production monitoring
- Ownership mindset with a focus on verifying features in production
- At least 1 year of experience in a crypto, DeFi, or Web3 company
