Lead Application Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a team of application engineers, the full-time salaried Lead Application Engineer will provide technical guidance, design and develop production-ready applications using Java and cloud-native principles, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team, providing architectural direction and support for complex engineering challenges
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and microservices utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
- Guide application migration to Google Cloud Platform and manage deployment in Kubernetes environments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and application testing
- Experience with application modernization and cloud deployments
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and application observability
