Lead Azure SQL Database Administrator
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Lead Azure/SQL Database Administrator to oversee database infrastructure and lead a team of DBAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of database administrators, providing technical guidance and performance feedback
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure SQL databases to ensure scalability, availability, and security
- Proactively monitor and optimize database performance and implement robust backup and recovery strategies
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure SQL Database administration
- Proficient in T-SQL and scripting tools such as PowerShell
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a SQL Server/Azure DBA, with at least 1-2 years in a lead role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and SSRS is a plus
