Job Summary
Leading a team of billing professionals, the full-time remote Lead Billing Specialist will manage daily billing operations, train staff, and collaborate with management to enhance productivity and resolve issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Leads, trains, and coordinates team workflow and system functions
- Collaborates with billing management to develop and monitor productivity standards
- Identifies and resolves billing issues and customer complaints in a timely manner
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in billing, insurance, or healthcare, preferably in laboratory insurance billing
- Knowledge of billing practices, including CPT coding and reimbursement processes
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Microsoft Power Pivot is a plus
- Able to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings
