Lead Certified Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary
To support the VA Meds by Mail program, the part-time Lead Certified Pharmacy Technician will provide supervision and mentoring to pharmacy technicians, process prescriptions, and manage call center inquiries, all while working remotely within 50 miles of the Dublin, GA facility.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor Certified Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring adherence to performance standards
- Process prescriptions and triage calls while educating patients on medication use
- Maintain accurate records for training, background investigations, and staffing reports
Required qualifications
- Current, unrestricted pharmacy technician certification from PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience leading teams or projects
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with peers and VA staff
- Computer proficiency for data entry and navigating pharmacy systems
