Lead Certified Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary
To support the VA Meds by Mail program, the contract Lead Certified Pharmacy Technician will provide supervision and mentoring to pharmacy technicians, process prescriptions, and manage team performance while working remotely from a secure home environment within 50 miles of the Cheyenne, WY facility.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor Certified Pharmacy Technicians, monitoring team performance against established standards
- Process prescriptions, triage calls, and educate patients while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations
- Maintain accurate records for team training, background checks, and performance metrics, reporting significant issues to management
Required qualifications
- Current, unrestricted pharmacy technician certification from PTCB (CPhT) or NHA (ExCPT)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience leading teams or projects in a pharmacy setting
- Strong administrative skills for managing training and compliance records
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in data entry and pharmacy information systems
