Job Summary
Leading control design for bidirectional DC/DC power conversion stages, the full-time salaried Lead Controls Engineer will model plant behavior, design compensators, and ensure firmware implementation aligns with specifications in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design control systems for four-switch buck-boost power stages, including current and voltage loops and protection behavior
- Develop closed-loop simulation models and plant models for converter verification and firmware support
- Define control design specifications and conduct loop gain verification to ensure alignment with hardware performance
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent demonstrated capability
- Six or more years of experience designing control systems for switched-mode power converters
- Hands-on experience with validated hardware control loop designs for various converter topologies
- Proficiency in PLECS or MATLAB/Simulink for building converter models
- Working proficiency in C for control code evaluation and simulation
