Lead Cyber Security Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing Security Operations Center, the full-time Lead Cyber Security Engineer will design, build, and maintain security architectures while optimizing detection capabilities and assisting in governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, all in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement technical solutions for alert orchestration and automated risk monitoring tools
- Lead the integration of security tools to ensure a unified security posture
- Assist in technical risk assessments and recommend remediation engineering for identified vulnerabilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10 years of progressive experience in IT and Security, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering capacity
- CISSP, CISM, or relevant technical certifications like GIAC or OSCP preferred
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Experience with SIEM logic, YARA rules, and EDR configuration for improved detection efficacy
