Lead Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the cybersecurity program, the full-time Lead Cybersecurity Engineer will oversee the development and implementation of security controls, compliance initiatives, and risk management strategies while working remotely to protect sensitive health information across production platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical implementation and management of SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance requirements across AWS environments
• Secure and harden production AWS environments, implementing security controls and tooling to protect cloud infrastructure
• Establish and operate security monitoring and incident response capabilities tailored to the clinical SaaS environment

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security with a focus on security engineering
• 2+ years of experience securing production cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Demonstrated experience with the AWS security ecosystem, including IAM and security services
• Experience implementing security controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2
• Experience securing Kubernetes and containerized production environments
