To support a new virtual training program for young people in Somalia, the Lead Data Annotation Instructor will deliver live instruction in both Somali and English, teaching data annotation skills to a cohort of learners while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and lead live virtual lectures and hands-on demonstrations in data annotation
- Collaborate with the operations team and Teaching Assistants to enhance learning outcomes and portfolio projects
- Apply learner feedback to improve course content and delivery
Required qualifications
- Professional working proficiency in both Somali and English, with teaching capability in both languages
- 5+ years of experience in data annotation, data labeling, or related fields with leadership responsibilities
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience
- Hands-on experience with annotation and labeling platforms
- Teaching or training experience with adult learners, particularly in a remote setting
