Lead Data Architect - PA Licensed
Job Summary
To support a community bank's enterprise data strategy, the part-time Lead Data Architect - PA Licensed will validate the source landscape, design a target data architecture, and run a vendor-neutral platform evaluation, working onsite in Chambersburg, PA as needed over a 6-week consulting engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Validate the source landscape and assess it against a seven-dimension data maturity model
- Design a five-layer target data architecture and run a costed evaluation of SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks
- Author the data strategy and roadmap while coaching the bank's analysts during working sessions
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in data architecture, data strategy, or enterprise data platform roles
- Direct experience with SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks
- Experience in banking or financial services, including core banking and regulatory expectations
- Proven ability to author data governance frameworks aligned to DAMA-DMBOK or similar
- Strong written deliverable skills, including strategy documents and architecture diagrams
