Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the evolution of a petabyte-scale data platform on AWS, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will design and build scalable data pipelines, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven marketing solutions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve a petabyte scale AWS data platform using advanced engineering practices
- Build and optimize highly scalable data pipelines with JVM languages, Spark, and Python
- Act as a principal technical leader, mentoring engineers and promoting best practices across the organization
Required qualifications
- Expert level software and data engineering experience in large scale data platforms
- Deep experience with Java-based languages such as Scala and Apache Spark
- Strong expertise in the AWS data ecosystem (Glue, S3, Athena, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced English proficiency and availability to travel to S o Carlos/SP as needed
