Job Summary
Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will provide technical direction for data infrastructure and pipelines, ensuring reliable and scalable data solutions while collaborating with business leaders in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Engineering team, managing priorities and delivery aligned with business objectives
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architecture while establishing engineering standards
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate data needs into effective technical solutions and communicate strategic direction
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of data engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with data pipeline design, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses
- Advanced SQL skills and programming experience with Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages
- Proven ability to remain hands-on technically while leading a team and managing business requirements
