Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning one or more domains of the data platform, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will manage a team of data engineers, set technical direction, and ensure compliance while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage domains of the data platform, focusing on ingestion and orchestration processes
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for assigned domains and establish engineering standards for the team
- Lead incident response and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of client data feeds
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 7 to 10 years of data engineering experience, including ownership of a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake
- Expert-level SQL and proficiency in Python, with experience in dbt and orchestration tools like Airflow
- At least one year of direct people management experience, including hiring and performance reviews
- Working knowledge of healthcare data, PHI, and HIPAA requirements
