Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the data platform end to end, the full-time remote Lead Data Engineer will architect and enhance Fullbay's Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring trustworthy self-service access for business users and AI agents through certified metric definitions and disciplined standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain certified definitions and a semantic layer for company-wide reporting, ensuring documentation is current and accessible
• Build and extend the gold layer by writing SQL and transformation code with automated tests in version control
• Oversee identity resolution across platforms, including crosswalk logic and survivorship rules, while managing Snowflake's role hierarchy and access policies

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience with ownership of a production data platform
• Deep experience in dimensional modeling and the ability to articulate a restatement policy
• Proficiency with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse, including cost management and RBAC
• Experience with version-controlled code for transformations and CI, as well as change data capture techniques
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
