Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing Data Engineering & Architecture team, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will design, maintain, and improve data pipelines and infrastructure while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective data usage and trust across systems in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and enhance data pipelines and infrastructure using tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, and Kafka
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data flow requirements and co-create data contracts
- Monitor pipeline performance and manage resources on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Proficiency with Apache Airflow, Spark, Flink, and dbt Labs for data processing
- Understanding of Apache Iceberg and cloud resource management on Google Cloud Platform
- Skilled in programming languages, particularly Bash, Python, and SQL
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code deployments using Terraform
