Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the growth of a data-driven organization, the full-time remote Lead Data Engineer will design, implement, and enhance data systems while providing technical leadership and mentorship across teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, operation, and evolution of production data pipelines and core platform capabilities
- Build and improve integrations across various data sources, including APIs, cloud services, and internal systems
- Establish strong patterns for data modeling, orchestration, testing, and data quality to enhance system reliability and scalability
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of software or data engineering experience with significant ownership of production data systems
- Strong skills in Python and SQL, along with solid software engineering fundamentals
- Experience with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Familiarity with orchestration and transformation frameworks like Airflow/Cloud Composer and dbt
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical leadership and mentorship across teams
