Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Joining a team focused on building an AWS-based wealth data ingestion platform, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will manage the validation and processing of large vendor data feeds while utilizing AWS services and Python in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the ingestion workflow for vendor data, ensuring data validation and transformation processes are effective
- Investigate and resolve issues related to failed or incomplete data ingestion runs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver standardized outputs for downstream enterprise consumers
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, Step Functions, S3, and Aurora/Postgres
- Strong proficiency in Python programming for data engineering tasks
- Experience in financial services or wealth management data is preferred
- Ability to understand and implement various cloud storage and database patterns
- Demonstrated capability to validate data end-to-end in a complex data environment
