Job Summary
Providing technical leadership in a remote, full-time capacity, the Lead Data Engineer will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and real-time ingestion frameworks while leading complex data initiatives and mentoring engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced data pipelines and real-time streaming solutions
- Build and maintain scalable Kafka producers and consumers to ensure high availability across distributed services
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience
- 6-8+ years of data engineering experience with enterprise-scale platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and modern data platforms
- Strong experience with CDC tools and integrating streaming events into cloud data warehouses
