Job Summary
Providing hands-on technical leadership, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and platforms while working remotely, guiding complex initiatives and mentoring engineers to ensure high-quality data solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced data pipelines and ingestion frameworks, developing and maintaining SQL, Python, and ETL code
- Guide technical execution of complex data initiatives, balancing production commitments with modernization efforts
- Support and troubleshoot existing workflows, ensuring data governance, security, and quality standards are met
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- 6-8+ years of data engineering experience with enterprise-scale platforms
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong hands-on Python skills; hands-on Snowflake engineering experience required
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
