Lead Data Engineer with Security Clearance
Job Summary
To support the U.S. National Defense Strategy, the full-time Lead Data Engineer with Security Clearance will manage the development of scalable data pipelines, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with government stakeholders in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day task prioritization and technical direction to team members, leading code reviews and mentoring engineers
- Work with government stakeholders to translate complex mission requirements into technical specifications and scalable data models
- Architect and optimize high-throughput ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks, enhancing existing Python and SQL codebases for performance and security
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current, active U.S. Government Secret clearance
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically in building enterprise-scale data platforms
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical mentorship and performing code reviews
- Proven hands-on experience with Databricks for designing and optimizing data transformation workflows
- Advanced skills in Python/PySpark scripting and extensive experience with SQL query optimization
