Job Summary

To enhance media buying strategies, the full-time Lead Data Scientist will build and validate models for auto insurance carrier conversion and oversee production deployment, working remotely with a focus on measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement models that optimize carrier selection for auto insurance shoppers based on conversion likelihood
• Manage the production of carrier conversion data and integrate it into media buying models to improve return on ad spend (ROAS)
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to frame problems, source data, and monitor model performance throughout deployment

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with demonstrable business impact
• Proven track record of building models that drive paid media decisions, including spend and bidding strategies
• Expertise in Python and SQL, with a deep understanding of neural network fundamentals and architecture choices
• Experience managing models end-to-end, including data sourcing, model building, deployment, and monitoring
• Ability to handle late labels, sparse features, and market drift in model training
