Job Summary

Hands-on and results-driven, the full-time Lead Data Scientist will build and deploy models for auto insurance carrier selection and media buying, focusing on optimizing conversion rates and managing data in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate models to optimize carrier selection for auto insurance shoppers based on conversion likelihood
• Manage and analyze carrier conversion data to enhance media buying strategies and ensure effective deployment of production models
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to frame problems, identify data sources, and monitor model performance over time

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with measurable business impact
• Proven experience in building models that drive paid media decisions, including spend and bidding strategies
• Strong understanding of model architecture, loss functions, and neural network fundamentals
• Expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience managing data challenges such as late labels, sparse features, and drift in training data
