Lead Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning the development of predictive models, the full-time remote Lead Data Scientist will build and validate models for auto insurance carrier conversion and media spend, while collaborating closely with business teams and an ML engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Build and validate models to optimize carrier visibility for auto insurance shoppers
• Manage the deployment and monitoring of production models, ensuring they adapt to market changes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to frame data-driven problems and identify solutions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with measurable business impact
• Proven experience in driving paid media decisions through model development
• Strong understanding of model architecture, including loss functions and neural networks
• Expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model building
• Experience managing data challenges such as late labels and sparse features
