Lead Data Scientist

Job Summary

To drive impactful media buying decisions, the full-time remote Lead Data Scientist will build and validate models for auto insurance shopper conversion, manage carrier bidding strategies, and oversee the deployment and monitoring of production models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop models to optimize carrier visibility for auto insurance shoppers and manage media buying strategies
• Analyze carrier conversion data to enhance production models and improve bidding processes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to frame problems, find data, and ensure successful deployment and monitoring of models

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with measurable business impact
• Proven experience in driving paid media decisions through model development, including spend and bidding strategies
• Strong understanding of neural network fundamentals and ability to explain technical choices in detail
• Experience handling late labels, sparse features, and data drift in model training
• Expertise in Python and SQL for data analysis and model building
