Lead Designer

Job Summary

Seeking a Lead Designer for a full-time remote position who will manage a team of consumer designers, run design critiques, and contribute hands-on design work to enhance user experiences on the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Run weekly design critiques and establish a robust manager-level review process for project feedback
• Develop growth plans for team members and advocate for their promotions during performance reviews
• Own the design capacity model across multiple product areas while managing a team of 5 to 6 designers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a proven record of managing designers
• Experience as a player-coach, balancing design work with team management responsibilities
• Proficiency in Figma and other design tools for creating high-fidelity designs
• Strong understanding of design systems and experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Fluency with AI-assisted design tools and the ability to leverage them effectively in design processes
