Lead Developer Advocate
Job Summary
Leading the developer advocacy strategy, the part-time Lead Developer Advocate will build relationships with founders and engineers, grow the developer community, and help teams integrate and launch products powered by Shopify, all while working remotely from San Francisco.
Key responsibilities
- Set the advocacy strategy by prioritizing target developers, use cases, and communities
- Build relationships with accelerators, investors, and developer platforms to support early-stage teams
- Grow the developer community through meetups, hackathons, and workshops, while sharing technical content publicly
Required qualifications
- Experience in building and executing developer advocacy or developer relations programs
- Hands-on experience in engineering, shipping software, and integrating APIs
- Familiarity with AI development tools and the ability to learn new codebases quickly
- Proven track record of running developer events and building technical communities
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to developers
