Lead Developer Advocate
Job Summary
Leading developer advocacy efforts in a part-time remote role, the Lead Developer Advocate will set strategies, build relationships with developers, and enhance the developer community while focusing on integrating Shopify into AI applications.
Key responsibilities
- Set the strategy for targeting developers and defining outreach methods to facilitate building on Shopify
- Build relationships with accelerators, investors, and developer platforms to support teams in their product development
- Grow the developer community by organizing meetups, workshops, and sharing technical content publicly
Required qualifications
- Experience in developing and executing a developer advocacy or relations program
- Hands-on engineering experience, including software shipping and API integration
- Familiarity with AI development tools and ability to learn new codebases quickly
- Proven track record of running developer events and building technical communities
- Strong credibility with developers and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively
