Lead Developer, EdTech
Job Summary
Leading the development of innovative EdTech products, the full-time remote Lead Developer will own the architecture, guide a small team of developers, and collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver impactful solutions for educators and students.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical design of learning platforms and tools while mentoring developers
- Build and ship features end-to-end, integrating with school systems and adding AI functionalities
- Ensure product security, performance, and accessibility while establishing guidelines for safe AI usage
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience, including 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role
- Proven experience in building EdTech products such as LMS or assessment tools
- Strong proficiency in React or Next.js, and Node.js or Python
- Experience with cloud hosting services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and AI feature integration
- Familiarity with education standards and student data privacy regulations
