Lead Editor

Job Summary

Providing expert editorial and proofreading support, the full-time Lead Editor will ensure the accuracy and consistency of clinical trial marketing and patient recruitment materials while working remotely and overseeing freelance editors and proofreaders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive editorial and proofreading reviews of clinical trial marketing and patient recruitment materials throughout the creative development process
• Develop and maintain editorial standards, processes, and best practices to enhance consistency and quality across deliverables
• Provide oversight and guidance to freelance editors and proofreaders, including training and feedback to ensure adherence to editorial standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in editorial, quality control, or operations within healthcare marketing or regulated communications
• Strong knowledge of proofreading, editorial standards, and quality assurance workflows
• Experience reviewing regulated and compliance-sensitive content
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and proofing platforms such as Ziflow
• Familiarity with MLR/legal/regulatory review processes preferred
