Lead Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a small team of engineers, the remote Engineering Lead will write and ship production code in Java, manage technical projects end-to-end, and mentor team members while ensuring high engineering standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design, write, test, and ship production code in Java 17+ and Spring Boot as part of a delivery team
- Own technically complex work, including API design and integration with existing enterprise systems
- Mentor engineers through hands-on collaboration and serve as a technical point of contact with stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- 8+ years of hands-on Java development, including experience with Java 17 or later
- 5+ years building production services with Spring and Spring Boot
- 5+ years designing and building REST APIs and web services in a microservices architecture
- Demonstrated experience in raising engineering quality through testing practices and code reviews
