Lead Engineer, AI Quality
Job Summary
Leading a dynamic team, the full-time Lead Engineer, AI Quality will build evaluation frameworks and diagnostic infrastructure for AI systems, ensuring their reliability and efficiency while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Build and own evaluation infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and datasets for AI agents
- Diagnose quality breakdowns in the AI agent pipeline and develop prototypes to address issues
- Lead and grow the AI Quality engineering team, setting technical direction and managing priorities
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in building and shipping production software, particularly with LLM-powered agents
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Python, or the ability to quickly learn these technologies
- Experience in building evaluation or observability infrastructure for ML/AI systems
- Knowledge of designing datasets and annotation workflows for ML/AI evaluation
- Strong alignment with company values and proficiency in English at a CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5
