Lead Engineer, AI Quality
Job Summary
To support the AI Quality engineering team, the full-time Lead Engineer, AI Quality will build evaluation frameworks and diagnostic infrastructure for AI systems, manage the engineering team, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of AI agents in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and own evaluation infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and datasets for AI agents
- Diagnose quality breakdowns in AI systems and develop prototypes to address issues
- Lead and grow the AI Quality engineering team while remaining hands-on in coding tasks
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in building and shipping production software, especially with LLM-powered agents
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Python, or willingness to learn quickly
- Experience in building evaluation or observability infrastructure for ML/AI systems
- Knowledge of designing datasets and annotation workflows for ML/AI evaluation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguity
