Lead Engineer, Platform Architecture
Job Summary
To drive technical direction and platform architecture, the fully remote Lead Engineer, Platform Architecture will own the design and implementation of platform standards, mentor engineers, and ensure production readiness across multiple services.
Key responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical direction of the platform, including documentation and proofs of concept
- Establish technical standards and enhance developer operational velocity through tooling and automation
- Lead observability and production readiness initiatives, ensuring security, reliability, and performance across services
Required qualifications
- Proven track record of owning and improving outcomes across multiple services
- Experience with containers and orchestration, particularly Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in AWS services and infrastructure-as-code, preferably CDK or SAM
- Strong skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, SQL, and database design
- Experience in observability practices and managing mixed technology estates
