Lead Finance Specialist
Job Summary
Responsible for driving US GAAP and Statutory accounting compliance, the remote Lead Finance Specialist will prepare financial statements, support audits, and ensure operational excellence in financial reporting for a reinsurance company.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual SAP and GAAP financial statements, including detailed analysis and disclosures
- Develop periodic NAIC financial statement schedules and regulatory filings
- Support internal and external audits while preparing account reconciliations for both GAAP and STAT accounting
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
- Experience in the insurance industry is required
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve financial issues
- Established project management skills
- Public accounting experience is preferred
