Lead Firmware Engineer
Job Summary
Developing firmware for low-power embedded microcontrollers, the full-time Lead Firmware Engineer will design and implement system architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage development efforts with vendors and partners.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware and embedded system architecture for ARM-based MCUs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create high-performance, secure, and reliable systems
- Establish and manage performance metrics including code size, power consumption, and latency
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience developing firmware for embedded microcontrollers
- Deep knowledge of radio stacks (BT, BLE, Wi-Fi) and ARM MCU architecture
- Proficient in FreeRTOS or Zephyr, Embedded C, C++, and unit test frameworks
- Experience working in large multi-developer codebases
- Ability to collaborate in a psychologically safe team environment
