Lead GenAI Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Lead GenAI Engineer will assess, design, and build high-impact AI solutions for portfolio companies, focusing on scalable AI opportunities and facilitating knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Assess AI feasibility and set technical direction for data products, retrieval pipelines, and model orchestration
- Design and build LLM workflows and retrieval systems using enterprise data and infrastructure
- Establish evaluation standards and develop prototypes that transition into production systems for portfolio company teams
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with a strong understanding of full-stack architectures
- Hands-on experience in shipping production AI/ML systems, including generative AI
- Deep fluency in agentic tooling and architecture patterns
- Proficiency with AI engineering frameworks and strong Python skills
- Working knowledge of cloud AI/ML platforms and enterprise data ecosystems
