Lead Group Underwriter

Job Summary

As a Lead Group Underwriter on the Specialty Health team, the full-time remote position will underwrite new and existing business for Supplemental Health products, assess risk, develop pricing recommendations, and support profitable growth through sound underwriting decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new business, renewals, and amendments for Supplemental Health products
• Manage an assigned in-force book of business and assess risk by evaluating various underwriting factors
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare underwriting analyses, pricing recommendations, and support the RFP process

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
• 5+ years of Supplemental Health underwriting experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in experience rating and renewal underwriting is a plus
