Lead Kernel Developer
Job Summary
Leading the design and development of high-performance Windows Kernel networking drivers, the full-time Lead Kernel Developer will focus on Windows Filtering Platform (WFP), high-speed networks, and performance optimization while working remotely from Germany, Serbia, Bulgaria, or Poland.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, develop, debug, and maintain Windows kernel-mode and user-mode components, primarily for network drivers and WFP
- Investigate and resolve complex kernel and networking issues, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
- Provide technical leadership by coordinating distributed developers and maintaining clear communication on project progress and challenges
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on Windows kernel development experience with expertise in Windows internals and networking
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and familiarity with kernel debugging tools such as WinDbg/KD and crash dump analysis
- Proven experience in developing performance-critical kernel components for high-performance environments
- Background in cybersecurity or endpoint protection technologies is beneficial
- Practical reverse engineering skills for diagnosing compatibility issues with third-party drivers and software
