Lead Mechanical Designer
Job Summary
Focused on developing and maintaining detailed CAD models and manufacturing documentation, the full-time Lead Mechanical Designer will create complex electromechanical systems, including sheet metal enclosures and piping systems, while collaborating cross-functionally in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks and/or Creo
- Create production-ready manufacturing drawings, ensuring compliance with GD&T and configuration control
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to support product development and resolve documentation issues
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree, Technical Degree, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field
- 8+ years of hands-on mechanical design and CAD experience with complex assemblies
- Expert proficiency in Creo and/or SolidWorks
- Strong experience in developing manufacturing drawings and fabrication documentation
- Working knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
