Lead Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the design and development of oilfield subsurface components, the part-time Lead Mechanical Engineer will create layouts, interpret specifications, and assist with engineering documentation while working both onsite and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the creation of layouts, functional component specifications, and assembly procedures
- Assist with the creation of work packs and review detail drawings while supervising small engineering teams
- Participate in design verification activities, including tolerance studies and manufacturability reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and verification processes
- Proven experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Knowledge of materials, including metals and welding processes
- Awareness of relevant industry standards and engineering codes
