Lead Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance departmental performance, the full-time Lead Medical Billing Specialist will manage onboarding and training for new caregivers, serve as a subject matter expert in medical billing processes, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements training programs for new and existing caregivers, ensuring adherence to billing compliance and payer guidelines
• Acts as a proxy for the department manager, conducting quality reviews and mentoring the Medical Billing Team
• Collaborates with various departments to analyze and resolve complex billing issues and improve departmental processes

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Four years of non-clinical healthcare experience, preferably in revenue cycle
• Previous leadership experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of hospital and professional billing compliance and payer guidelines
• Experience in developing and implementing training programs
