Lead Medical Writer

Job Summary

As a full-time Lead Medical Writer, working remotely or in a hybrid capacity, the successful candidate will manage the delivery of high-quality, scientifically accurate content for Oncology-focused medical communications projects, ensuring editorial excellence and guiding junior writers throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the lead writer and primary client contact for assigned accounts
• Develop and oversee the implementation of scientific content, ensuring quality and timely delivery
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior writers while managing client relationships and project complexities

Required qualifications

• Degree in life sciences; PharmD or PhD is advantageous
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical or scientific writing within a healthcare consultancy or medical communications agency
• Proven experience in developing scientific content across various therapeutic areas, with a focus on Oncology preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage project ownership and client communications effectively
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines for medical communications
