Lead Network Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Lead Network Automation Engineer will develop applications and automation tools for network-related functions, gather telemetry data, and enhance monitoring and reporting for network devices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage tools for supporting and maintaining critical network infrastructure
• Collaborate with the networking team to gather requirements for infrastructure automation
• Deliver automated troubleshooting and alerting solutions to resolve complex networking issues

Required qualifications

• Strong software development background with at least 3 years of experience in network engineering projects
• Experience with automation on multiple platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto
• 3+ years of Python programming experience and familiarity with Ansible and related tools
• Knowledge of relational and nonrelational database systems, including SQL and Splunk/Elk
• 3+ years of network engineering experience, with strong skills in routing, switching, and firewalls
