Job Summary
Leading a network engineering team, the full-time Lead Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain the VA network infrastructure while providing operational support for the VAEC AWS environment and VA WAN, all in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Direct the network engineering team, overseeing operations and providing technical guidance
- Design and maintain the VistA network infrastructure in compliance with federal IT standards
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with security standards
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, particularly in government IT contracts
- Proven leadership experience in managing network engineering teams
- Experience with AWS cloud networking and wide area networks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
