Job Summary
Owning complex PCB designs, the Lead PCB Design Engineer will work full-time, either remotely or onsite, utilizing Altium Designer to create multi-layer boards for battery management systems and power electronics while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure production-ready hardware.
Key responsibilities
- Manage PCB layout from concept to release, focusing on high-current paths, thermal performance, and EMI/EMC compliance
- Define stack-ups and collaborate with fabrication and assembly partners while maintaining component libraries in Altium
- Support debugging and rapid iteration cycles to ensure timely delivery of designs
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of PCB layout experience
- Strong expertise in Altium Designer
- Proven experience with power electronics and high-current/high-voltage layouts
- Solid understanding of IPC standards and thermal/current density considerations
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
