Lead PCB Designer
Job Summary
To support a growing design team, the contract Lead PCB Designer will create and manage printed circuit board layouts, ensuring compliance with design specifications and manufacturing requirements, while working either onsite in Salt Lake City, UT or remotely on a 9/80 schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Place and route components to meet electrical and physical specifications for PCB designs
- Develop and generate drawings and documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly
- Rework PCB designs based on engineering changes and assist the design team in resolving issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
- Extensive experience in PCB design and layout techniques
- Proficiency with ECAD software applications, especially Siemens Xpedition
- Knowledge of industry standards for PCB design and documentation
- Experience with component ECAD library creation and schematic symbol development
