Lead Product Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Lead Product Designer will focus on designing innovative AI interfaces for an autonomous sales agent, shaping user interactions and experiences while collaborating closely with engineering and machine learning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design the interface for Piper's AI brain, shaping its personality and reasoning explanations
• Create engaging user experiences for Piper's live chat and video interactions, emphasizing micro-interactions and tone
• Prototype quickly using AI tools and collaborate directly with engineering teams to implement design decisions

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of product design experience, including at least 2 years focused on AI or conversational interfaces
• Understanding of LLM behavior and ability to design for latency and confidence issues
• Proficiency in AI tooling as an integral part of the design process
• Strong visual and interaction design skills
• Experience working closely with engineering and machine learning teams without a handoff culture
