Lead Product Manager, Hardware

Job Summary

Leading product strategy for next-generation sensing and response hardware, the full-time Lead Product Manager, Hardware will manage the hardware roadmap, validate customer requirements, and oversee business case development while working remotely from the United States or Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the hardware roadmap, ensuring it aligns with customer evidence and portfolio priorities
• Validate critical product requirements with target customers before major investments
• Lead stage-gate processes from concept through launch, ensuring life-safety certification is integrated from day one

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of product management experience, particularly in connected hardware (IoT, edge, or smart devices)
• Strong business modeling skills, including BOM, margin, and ROI/IRR analysis
• Working knowledge of hardware architecture, including SoCs and edge AI compute
• Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers during NPI and ramp
• Preferred experience with life-safety or regulated devices and non-optical sensing technologies
